This year I was a pilgrim wearing the turkey hat. Now why did I wear the turkey hat you say? Well I've worn that hat in the last 5 races so why change tradition.
This year I haven't run much. Like not at all. The last time I ran anything over 2 miles was back in September. Oops
I have run a lot of 5k's. I don't normally get nervous, but I was that morning.
The plan was to go slow and maintain a steady pace. I didn't know if I could run the entire race without walk breaks or not. This was my test "run" for the Space Coast Half Marathon on Sunday. Pun intended!
I was surprised, I ran the entire race! No walk breaks! Now this wasn't my best time, but hey I haven't run in a long time.
First mile was 11:10
Second mile was 10:28
Third mile was 10:48
I was very happy with my finish time of 33:55.

In 2017 I plan on getting back to running regularly.
Do you run a Turkey Trot on Thanksgiving?
